The Western Shelter Water Treatment Unit
-
Position
equipment so all components are as close to their relative sub
components as possible.
-
If the
water purifier is used, it should be the first component
in line. If a pressurized system is required, use the
preset regulator in the accessory kit. The
inlet hose should be connected to the PRESSURIZED
WATER 29-PSI MAX.
inlet side of the purifier. If suction is required, use the suction
hose with the strainer and connect to the WATER
INLET side of the purifier, which uses a built in pump.
-
Connect
the outlet garden hose to the potable water bladder.
-
Connect the
EJ 110 electric pump to the 1” outlet on the potable bag and follow
priming instructions on the pump body.
-
Attach the
brass splitter manifold to the top outlet quick connect of the EJ 110 pump.
From this you can provide potable water to the sink, shower, water heater or
any other accessory you may have. These can be connected with either a 25’
or 50’ econoflo hose provided in the accessory kit.
-
The potable
water source from the EJ 110 pump can provide water to the inlet side of the
water heater. Once the desired temperature is established by mixing at the
heater, a single line will connect to the on/off manifold in the shower
unit. When the shower nozzles are turned on, the heater will ignite and
provide on demand continuous hot water.
-
The dry run
sump pump is connected to the shower basin with a short blue garden hose. On
the inside of the basin, another short blue hose connects the basin to the
foot strainer. A 25’ or 50’
econoflo hose connects the pump to the gray water bladder.
-
Connect the
1 ¼” drain line from the sink to the 1 ¼” drop out valve on the gray
water bladder. When the gray water bladder is full and needs to be drained,
connect the 1 ¼” dropout valve to
an appropriate receiver.
